SCHOOL COUNCIL

This is our “Pupil Voice” where our children have the opportunity to offer ideas for improving the school. Our School Council meets every half term with the Deputy Headteacher, to discuss issues arising from the classroom, playground or any aspect of school life. At the start of every school year, each class votes for a boy and girl to represent them on the School Council. There is an expectation that councillors will ensure that their behaviour; presentation and attitudes is a model for the rest of the school.   At Brookside, the school council is consulted on a wide range of school policies and developments. They also work hard with their peer groups to organise fund raising events for the year’s chosen charity.
