Mr Tavernor's Class

As part of our Autumn Term Topic on World War II we visited the Imperial war museum. It was a brilliant day out! The children dressed as German soldiers in the Captured Zone and tried different camouflage clothes on in the World war II zone.
During the day we watched two films, which were projected onto the walls. One was about evacuees who told their memories, both happy and sad.

Wear a hat for Haiti Day!

During art we have studied Pablo Picasso. This is our class copy of his work 'The weeping Woman'. Each member of the class had a small square portion of his work to copy. At the end of the session we put all the pieces together like a jigsaw to produce a whole class art piece.

On wednesday 2nd December our school council met with Rosie from Stockports schools Travel plan and Matthew Smith from Lock It (cycle and scooter storage). The council gave Matthew, from Lock It ,a Dragon's Den style interview as part of the Brookside Scooter Storage Project.
Future interviews for prospective companies are in the pipeline.

Our Class Trip to the Christmas Trail at Hazel Grove Baptist Church

The event is conceived, constructed and conducted by Peter and Julie Fraser, familiar to our school children from their work in assemblies.
The children really enjoyed this wonderful experience!
